Tillberg Design of Sweden, part of Viken Group, is looking to expand our Team in Hoganas (Sweden) with
LEAD DESIGNER
At Tillberg Design of Sweden (part of Viken Group), your ideas and concepts develop into designs that will be experienced onboard cruises & yachts all over the world. Person in the role of Lead Designer will be responsible for leading design solutions for either luxury or commercial sectors: Cruise-ship, Cruise-yacht.
What will stand out is your diverse and comprehensive skill set to effectively manage and inspire the design team and demonstrated experience in leading projects. Strong merits include experience from architectural design industry and the ability to cross reference.
The role of Design Director / Lead Designer includes tasks as:
- To lead concept designs
- To manage and inspire the design team
- Leading the development of design intent and liaising with PM to see the vision through completion
- Visuals / CGI development and control
- Overseeing and producing drawings to “design intent” level
- Responsibility for the holistic design overview of a project
- Design decision making
- Client liaison
- Presentations of design concept and Storytelling
Requirements:
- +10 years of experience in the field
- Track record of success with leading teams and projects
- Degree in Interior Design or equivalent
- Industry knowledge: trends, details, materials, brands
- Codes & Regulations – Marine and shipbuilding related
- Proficiency in English
- Creativity & design complexity
- Mentoring ability
- Preferred knowledge of tools such as: Rhino, Archicad, Photoshop, InDesign, Canva, AI
- Confidence in public speaking, presenting
