MS Fridtjof Nansen
Exploration meets Scandinavian design: MS Fridtjof Nansen blends sustainable innovation with luxurious expedition experiences. Public spaces, suites and a six-deck atrium with the world’s largest LED screen connect guests to the ship and the surrounding environment. Inspired by Norwegian explorers, the vessel fosters adventure, comfort and education across diverse climates, from polar regions to the tropics.
TDoS, in collaboration with Kongsberg, led the GA master planning and designed all public areas, suites and balcony cabins, including restaurants, expedition RIB launch area, spa, gym, science centre, panorama lounge, pool deck, sauna and a dramatic six-deck atrium featuring the world’s largest LED screen at sea (17.5 x 6.5 metres).
Rooted in Scandinavian and Norwegian design, the concept celebrates bold explorers and sustainable practices, using locally sourced materials and enabling hybrid-powered operations that eliminate single-use plastics from polar regions to the tropics. Unique features include the six-deck LED screen, an infinity pool with panoramic views and a fully equipped science centre with onboard scientists, embodying contemporary maritime design while offering immersive experiences for every guest.
